about

This album stands as the final Muscle & Bone release. Heavy/Sweet and Half Life were recorded in the early months of 2014 and were originally intended for a split release with our friends in Reservoir. Unfortunately, the split never came to be, so when Grant (Bitter Melody) approached us about putting them out as a final release we figured the time was right. These are the last two songs we ever recorded.

When we started this band in 2012 we never intended to be a "real" band. We thought we'd put out an EP and play a few shows. We did so much more with this band than we ever thought we could. We met some of the most genuine and beautiful people. We played with so many incredible bands all over the east coast and Midwest. Our van broke down all over the east coast and Midwest. None of these things would've ever been possible without folks like Grant McCracken, Megan Pearson, Josh and Sarah Robbins, Andee Wells, Reservoir, Springtime, John Ribes, Kyle Jackson, Discourse, Toby Brown, The Oddboys, Joie De Vivre, Old Flings, Mark Gustafson, Andy Bishop, Black Numbers, Brandon Gepfer, Close Talker, Teen Death, Stephen Welch, Josh and Katrina Cook, Chris French, Lukas Hodge, and so, so many more. If you're reading this, thank you for everything. North Carolina forever.
